Aug. 29, 2026: FOLLOW ME
BIG IDEA: Getting UNSTUCK isn't ultimately about fixing yourself; it's about FOLLOWING JESUS.
Reading:
Matthew 16:24-25
“Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.’”
Devotional:
Jesus never told His disciples to create a better version of their old lives. He simply said, “Follow Me.”
Following Jesus means surrendering the right to lead ourselves. Instead of asking God to bless the life we've already decided to live, we begin asking, “Jesus, where are You leading me?”
That requires surrender. It requires trust. And it requires movement. You can't follow someone while refusing to move from where you are.
Maybe the most important question isn't, “How do I get unstuck?” Maybe it's simply: “Jesus, where are You leading me next?”
Reflection:
Is there an area of your life where you know what Jesus is asking you to do, but you've been reluctant to follow?
Practical Application:
Ask God one question today: “What is my next step?” When He brings something to mind that agrees with His Word, commit to taking that step.
