Aug. 26, 2026: WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE A WAY FORWARD

BIG IDEA: An OBSTACLE doesn't mean God has stopped LEADING.

Reading:
Exodus 14:13-14
“And Moses said to the people, ‘Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord... The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.’”

Devotional:
Israel followed God directly to the Red Sea. Water was in front of them. Pharaoh's army was behind them. From their perspective, there was nowhere to go.
 
But the Red Sea wasn't evidence that God had abandoned them. God knew exactly where they were.

Sometimes we assume that if we're following God, everything should become easier. Scripture tells a different story. Following God often brings us to places where we have to depend on Him more than ever.
 
God eventually parted the water, but before Israel saw the miracle, they had to trust the One who had led them there.
 
Faith doesn't require seeing the entire path. It requires trusting the One who does.
 
Reflection:
Are you facing an obstacle that has caused you to question whether God is still leading?
 
Practical Application:
Write down one situation you cannot currently see a way through. Instead of trying to solve it today, intentionally surrender it to God and ask Him to show you your next faithful step.
