Sept. 15, 2026: The Kingdom Above All Else

BIG IDEA: Living SENT means taking the story of God to people who desperately need rescue and need to hear God’s Good News.

Matthew 4:23
“And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.”

Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Jesus did not simply talk about the Kingdom of God from a comfortable distance. He moved through towns, entered communities, taught in gathering places, and healed those who were suffering. His life was a demonstration of what Kingdom-centered living actually looks like in practice. Matthew 6:33 makes a remarkable promise: when the Kingdom of God becomes your highest priority, the things that consume your worry begin to find their proper place. A disordered life is often the fruit of disordered priorities. When the reign and rule of Jesus becomes the organizing principle of your daily decisions, clarity follows. The Kingdom is not a destination. It is a way of living now.

Reflection:
Where do your daily priorities reveal a church mindset rather than a Kingdom mindset?

Application:
Identify one decision you are currently facing and ask yourself how a Kingdom-first perspective would change your approach to it.
