Aug. 27, 2026: FACING YOUR GIANTS

BIG IDEA: Faith doesn't deny the GIANTS; it believes GOD is GREATER.

Reading:
Numbers 14:8-9
“If the Lord delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us... Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not fear the people of the land... the Lord is with us; do not fear them.”

Devotional:
Twelve spies saw the same land. They saw the same fortified cities. They saw the same powerful enemies. They saw the same giants. But they didn't see them the same way.

Ten measured the giants against themselves and concluded, “We can't.” Joshua and Caleb measured the giants against God and believed, “He can.”

Faith isn't pretending your problems aren't real. Faith is refusing to make your problems bigger than your God. Fear asks, “What if I can't do this?” Faith asks, “What can God do if I trust Him?”

Reflection:
What “giant” currently looks bigger to you than God's ability to help you overcome it?

Practical Application:
Write down your biggest fear about the situation. Then underneath it write: “But God is with me.” Let that truth shape how you pray today.
