Sept. 11, 2026: Here I Am, Send Me
This week’s BIG IDEA: 7 truths we need to be SENT and not STUCK. Death is certain. God is in charge. He is holy. We are broken. God offers grace. God speaks. God sends.
Isaiah 6:8
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' Then I said, 'Here I am! Send me.'”
Romans 10:14-15
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'”
After the vision, after the holiness, after the brokenness, after the grace, God finally speaks. And His very first words are not about Isaiah's past failures or future preparation. They are a question aimed outward: whom shall I send? God's first concern is always the lost. Isaiah did not hesitate. He did not say "send me when I am ready" or "send me when the season is right." He said, "Here I am."
Romans 10:14-15 makes clear that people cannot hear without someone being sent. You are that someone. Not tomorrow. Not after the next stage of life passes. Today, in the field you already occupy, you are sent.
Personal Reflection:
What field has God already placed you in, whether at work, at home, in your neighborhood, or at school, where you have not yet seen yourself as sent? What has been keeping you stuck rather than sent?
Practical Application:
Identify one person in your immediate field who does not yet know the grace described in this week's readings. Pray for them by name today and ask God for one specific, natural opportunity to be sent toward them this week.
