Sept. 16, 2026: Sent Into Your Field

BIG IDEA: Living SENT means taking the story of God to people who desperately need rescue and need to hear God’s Good News.  

John 20:21
“Jesus said to them again, 'Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.'”

Romans 10:14-15
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'”

Jesus told His disciples that just as the Father had sent Him, He was now sending them. This was not a commission reserved for the spiritually elite. It was spoken to ordinary people who had spent years fishing, collecting taxes, and managing the routines of everyday life. Romans 10 reminds us that people cannot hear good news unless someone goes and tells them. You already occupy a field. You already have relationships, credibility, and access that no pastor or program can replicate. Your workplace, your neighborhood, your family circle -- these are your mission field. You were not placed there by accident. You were sent there on purpose.

Who in your daily life is waiting to hear something that only your presence and testimony can deliver?

Application:
Choose one person in your regular sphere of life and commit to one intentional, meaningful conversation with them this week.
