Oct. 9, 2026: God Always Keeps His Word
Big Idea: God wants to send us with a peace that the world cannot comprehend.
Memory Verse — Isaiah 26:3 ESV
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
Isaiah 27:2–6
“In that day, “A pleasant vineyard, sing of it! I, the LORD, am its keeper; every moment I water it. Lest anyone punish it, I keep it night and day; I have no wrath. Would that I had thorns and briers to battle! I would march against them, I would burn them up together. Or let them lay hold of my protection, let them make peace with me, let them make peace with me.” In days to come Jacob shall take root, Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots and fill the whole world with fruit.”
Numbers 23:19
“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”
Isaiah 27 describes Israel as a vineyard watched over by the Lord. God says He waters it, guards it, and keeps it night and day. Though Israel would experience dark days, God promised future restoration and fruitfulness.
The sermon emphasized this truth: When God says something is going to happen, it is going to happen.
God’s promises are not fragile. They do not depend on human strength. They do not expire with time. What God speaks, He fulfills.
This matters for Israel, and it matters for us. If God keeps His prophetic promises, then we can trust His personal promises too. He will never leave us. He will forgive those who confess. He will give wisdom to those who ask. He will finish the work He began in His people.
Peace grows when we remember that God is faithful. The world changes. Nations rise and fall. Circumstances shift. But God remains the everlasting Rock.

God Always Keeps His Word
- Which promise of God do you need to remember today?
- Where are you tempted to doubt God’s faithfulness?
- How has God already proven Himself faithful in your life?
